Abstract: Os moluscos da Classe Scaphopoda são animais marinhos recentes encontrados em todos os oceanos do mundo, sendo representados no Brasil pela ocorrência da cerca de 39 espécies. São conhecidos popularmente como dentálios, sendo encontrados desde águas rasas a profundidades de acima de 5000 metros.
