Molecular Transistor Based on the Biphenyl Substituents

Abstract: It was investigated the physical processes in the molecules, which have properties required in case of using as molecular switches, transistors, or other electronic elements of future computers. Studies show that in the molecules of biphenyl substituents the angle between the planes of the phenyl rings depends on the magnitude of the applied external electric field.
