Abstract: Introduction: Congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma (CIE) is a subtype of autosomal recessive congenital ichthyosis (ARCI), a group of ineffective keratinization disorders, which mainly results from missense mutations in the transglutaminase 1 (TGM1) gene.
