“…Ehrlichia organisms have not been cultured from feline samples; evidence of infection came exclusively from serological and molecular studies (BREITSCHWERDT et al, 2002;OLIVEIRA et al, 2009b). Nevertheless, Ehrlichia canis-like organisms were detected by PCR and DNA sequencing in cats from Brazil and North America (BREITSCHWERDT et al, 2002;OLIVEIRA et al, 2009b).
