Molecular Conformation of Crystalline and Amorphous Chloramphenicol

Abstract

This paper investigates the conformational behavior of chloramphenicol (CHL) both in the condensed phases and in vaccum using FTIR spectroscopy and ab initio QM methods. Existing literature reports two possible conformations in the crystalline phase,
