Molecular confirmation of twinning in the West Indian Manatee (Trichechus manatus)

Abstract: Few twinning events have been recorded in the West Indian manatee (Trichechus manatus, Sirenia: Trichechidae) and no previous published study has provided confirmation of this phenomenon based in molecular tools.
