Molecular analysis of gibberellin receptor gene GID1 in Dasypyrum villosum and development of DNA marker for its identification

Abstract: Dasypyrum villosum is an annual cereal used as a donor of agronomic traits for wheat. Productivity is one of the most important traits that breeding is aimed at. It is a very complex trait, the formation of which is influenced by many different factors, both internal (the genotype of the plant) and external. The genes responsible for the gibberellin sensitivity played a large role in multiplying yields of cereal crops. Another such gene is the Gid1, which encodes a receptor for gibberellins. This article compa… Show more

“…Полученные ПЦР-продукты анализировали методом электрофореза в 1,5%-ном агарозном геле с буфером TBE с добавлением бромистого этидия. Визуализация электрофореграмм проводилась в ультрафиолетовом свете с использованием системы гель-документирования [17].…”

“…Conversely, overexpression of this gene might cause plants to be taller or larger [12,13]. The gibberellin receptor gene was cloned in rice, which was subsequently found in Arabidopsis [14], peach tree [15], dasypyrum villosum [16], wheat [17], barley [18], fern [19], tea tree [20] and other plants. There was only one gibberellin receptor in rice, and the gene in the rice mutant was first cloned and named OsGID1 by Ueguchi-Tanaka, this mutant showed severe plant dwarfing [21].…”
