Moiré effects in graphene--hBN heterostructures

Abstract: Encapsulating graphene in hexagonal Boron Nitride has several advantages: the highest mobilities reported to date are achieved in this way, and precise nanostructuring of graphene becomes feasible through the protective hBN layers.
