Modulator Dynamics Shape the Design Space for Stepwise‐Elution Simulated Moving Bed Chromatographic Separations

Abstract: For proteins and other biological macromolecules, SMB chromatography is best operated non-isocratically. However, traditional modes of non-isocratic SMB operation generate significant mobile-phase modulator dynamics.
