Modulation of Glucocorticoid Effect in Thymus of Adrenalectomized-Diabetic Rat

Abstract: Cellular receptors to glucocorticoids and the effect of dexamethasone and corticosterone on 3 H-uridine incorporation into the acid-insoluble fraction were studied in thymocytes from adrenalectomized-diabetic rats and adrenalectomized ones. An increase in the dissociation constant of the hormone-receptor plot was observed when adrenalectomizeddiabetic animals were compared to adrenalectomized controls.
