Modifying the Siderophore Triacetylfusarinine C for Molecular Imaging of Fungal Infection

Abstract: Purpose: Aspergillus fumigatus produces the siderophore triacetylfusarinine C (TAFC) for iron acquisition which is essential for its virulence. Therefore, TAFC is a specific marker for invasive aspergillosis.
