Modified Form of Diatomite Filtration Equation

Abstract: This article discusses a modified form of the diatomite filtration equation. The use of average specific resistances a1, and a2 in the diatomite filtration equation corresponds to established filtration practice and it relates the resistance of the clean filter aid in the precoat to that of the dirty filter aid in the rest of the cake.
