Для данной сушилки необходима разработка теории загрузки, выгрузки и сушки различных материалов, в том числе зерна. Эффективность сушки зависит от многих факторов, в частности, от движения зерна в пространстве между внешним цилиндром и внутренним цилиндромза период его прогрева и сушки. В эти периоды слой зерна в пространстве между внешним цилиндром и внутренним цилиндром разделяется на три подслоя: А, Б,В. В подслое А и подслое В будет осуществляться не только конвективный нагрев зерна, но и перенос тепла зерном при его прогреве. В подслое Б осуществляется только конвективный нагрев зерна, почти не осуществляется перенос тепла зерном. Поэтому наличие подслоя Бнежелательно, либо толщина его должна быть минимальной. Единственно возможным путём уменьшения толщины подслоя Бявляется увеличение ширины лопастей на внутреннем цилиндре. С другой стороны, увеличение ширины лопастей на внутреннем цилиндре приведёт к увеличению соотношения скоростей потока воздуха по периметру внутреннего цилиндра. Окончательно оптимальную ширину лопастей на внутреннем цилиндре можно выявить только после расчёта всего процесса сушки зерна.

Therefore, the presence of sublayer B is undesirable, or its thickness should be minimal. The only possible way to reduce the thickness of sublayer B is to increase the width of the blades on the inner cylinder. On the other hand, an increase in the width of the blades on the inner cylinder will lead to an increase in the ratio of air flow rates along the perimeter of the inner cylinder. The final optimal width of the blades on the inner cylinder can be revealed only after calculating the entire grain drying process.
