Wie in jedemKriege, so steht auch jetzt die Frage der Amputationen im Vordergrunde der Er6rterung. Viel ist schon darfiber geredet und geschfieben word, en, im 'wesentlichen haben sich die Anschauungen gekl~irt und geeinigt. Eins der wichtigsten Themata ist die Beschaff,enheit des Stumpfes. Nur mit ein paar Ausnahmen wird allgemein die Forderung erhoben, flit einen guten Stumpf zu sorgen, und daher, wenn dieser Forderung im Felde nicht gen/igt werden kann, ihr sp~iter durch eine Reamputation nachzukommen. Ich habe schon im November I9I 4 in der Braunschweiger Xrztev,ersammlung bei der Demonstration eines dutch Lappenplastik yon der Brustwand behandelten schlechten Armstumpfes und spgter in der Deutschen medizin. Woche.nschrift (~915, Nr. 32) diese Lappenplastik-am Beine mutatis mutandis natfirlich vo,m anderen Beine-warm empfohlen, um die Reamputatio,n und dadurch eine Verkfirzung des Gliedes und sei es aueh nur um ein oder zw.ei Zentimeter zu vermeiden. Die auf dies,e Weise behandelten Stfimpfe haben, wie reich eben wieder ,ein so von mir operierter Armstumpf eines Offiziers belehrt, natfirlich eine sehr gute, widerstandsf~ihige Hautdecke. Und so ist es erkl~irlich, dal~ alle, die mit demVerfahren gute E~.rfolge erzielt haben, groBe Freunde desselben geworden und ihres Lobes roll sind. Ich nenne vor allen Hans H a n s, der sie in zwei Ver-6ffentlichungen preist 1) und Vorschriften f fir sie gibt, die noch eingehender sind, als ich sie glaubte empfehlen zu sollen.
