Modern Magnetic Based Speed Sensors

Abstract

This paper deals with modern magnetic based wheel speed sensors, especial@ their behavior tinder harsh conditions which you c a n j n d e.g. in car. engine or machine applications. Bused on the well known passive inductive sensors with their air gap sensitivity and limited features, the so called active wheel speed sensors bused on the hall-or magnetoresistive effect are of importance If zero speed measurement and big air gap range is necessary.
