Modern Laminate Composite Designed for Aircraft Construction

Abstract: The article presents modern laminate composites designed for aircraft structural elements based on ECC e461 symmetric fabric and Interglas 02037 symmetric fabric with MGS L285/H285 resin. These composites differ in the weave used and the type of fabric. The article presents basic strength parameters of the composite obtained as a result of stand tests. The results of compressive strength tests of the material samples are presented. It was shown that the weave of the fabric significantly affects the strength pa… Show more

“…the data obtained during the test are automatically transferred to a specialised program that creates a document with the results and saves it as a file. the test control program testXpert provides a graphical representation of the results in a coordinate system of any configuration, and the elongation can be presented in mm or % [13].…”

“…Nowadays, composites are widely used. they have started to become a dominant group of structural materials due to their excellent strength properties [13,14]. Multifunctional fibrereinforced polymer laminates are the primary structure for structural load bearing [15].…”

“…Epoxy resin matrix composites are widely used in glider construction, but have not been used for heavily loaded aircraft structural components due to the low stiffness of glass fibres. The appearance of high-strength and highstiffness boron and carbon fibres gave a chance to use polymer composites to make entire structural elements as well as to reinforce elements of airframe which were made of metals [13]. At present, it is possible to make integral covers of several metres in length, including stiffening elements.…”
