Modern GPS diagnostic technique to determine and map soil hardpan for enhancing agricultural operation management

Abstract: Among the undesirable effects of soil compaction is a measurable reduction in plant growth and crop yield. The prevailing belief is that compacted tillage pans are caused by repetitive farming practices, heavy tractors, tillage tools, and field traffic. This experiment was conducted to determine and map the hardpan layers across an agricultural field through advanced technologies of precision agriculture. These valuable techniques such as data logger, yield map, and data analysis of performance indicators were… Show more

“…Finding new ways to reduce the impact of pests is the keystone to integrated pest management (Abdul-Rassoul et al, 2012;Adhab et al, 2019;AlShabar et al, 2021;Al-Aani & Sadoon, 2023;Sial et al, 2023). Our study agrees with another investigation (Loko et al, 2021) did a direct study of the repellent properties and toxicity of essential oils derived from Cymbopogon citratus Stapf.…”

“…The transmission test was repeated the following season with 15 healthy grapevines, which resulted in no symptoms of GVCV or evidence of transmission. It is essential to find new techniques to increase plant yield (4,5,6,7,8,12,25,38,39). According to Schoelz and Adhab (35), mealybugs are the prevalent vectors for members of the genus Badnavirus.…”

“…Several factors influence fruit storage, including appropriate conditions such as temperature and humidity. Generally, good storage practices are essential for maintaining the quality and integrity of fruits and maximizing their shelf life (Lamikanra et al, 2000;Al-Aani & Sadoon, 2023). Good storage practices include separating fruits and vegetables, proper packaging, ideal temperature, clean storage space, refrigeration, proper handling, and monitoring of ripeness (Khan et al, 2017).…”
