Abstract:Reconstruction of the facial skeleton is a complex task with multiple factors to consider. The rapid development of three-dimensional planning now allows surgeons to plan resection and reconstruction to a high degree of precision, with a number of associated benefits. This chapter discusses the indications and processes involved in three-dimensional planning and its application to surgical resection and reconstruction of the facial bones.
