“…Likewise, liqueurs are products made from distilled alcoholic beverages, neutral spirit, quality or common alcohol or a mixture of them and water, flavored with specific procedures and to which ingredients and additives allowed by the official Mexican standard can be added (NOM‐142‐SSA1‐1995). In addition, the dose allowed for the consumption of an alcoholic drink, in a healthy human being and without additional risks, in men is 20–25 g of alcohol/day, in women between 10 and 15 g of alcohol/day even for this amount of alcohol per week is recommended to include a minimum of 2 days without alcohol, the consumption of 20–25 g of alcohol per day has a beneficial effect on blood lipids and hemostasis and at the same time reduces coronary risk by 25% (Stránský, 2014). For all the above, the aim of this work was to evaluate the impact of melon juice clarification by two conventional methods (filtration and cold sedimentation) on the physicochemical properties of an alcoholic beverage, in order to know the viability of these two pretreatments in the elimination of suspended solids.…”
