Modelling the Deformation of Polydomain Liquid Crystal Elastomers as a State of Hyperelasticity

Abstract: A hyperelasticity modelling approach is employed for capturing various and complex mechanical behaviours exhibited by macroscopically isotropic polydomain liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs).
