“…The combined transfer estimation method (34) acknowledges the variations between parameters due to long time gaps and other differences between the estimation and application contexts such that the updated parameters are estimated as ( Equation 14): (13) Where: = trans-appl and = appl-trans It may be noted that though there are simpler methods like updating only the constants of the model or using scaling of the model parameters, based on the exploratory analysis results, they were not deemed to be appropriate in these cases and have not been tested rigorously.…”

“…The share of private automobiles is approximately 50 percent. In addition, the number of private cars has increased more than 400 percent within the last six years (Siddique et al, 2013). Every year, approximately 37,000 cars are added in Dhaka.…”

“…As the road supply is insufficient compared to demand (as discussed in Section 4.3.1), traffic congestion occurs at every important point in the city. The city experiences a loss of around US$ 2,444 million per year owing to traffic congestion and road accidents (Siddique et al, 2013). The annual loss of fuel costs approximately US$ 1,403 million (Barnamala, 2015).…”
