Modelling of the Deformation Diffusion Areas on a Para-Aramid Fabric with B-Spline Curves

Abstract: The geometrical modelling of the planar energy diffusion behaviors of the deformations on a para-aramid fabric has been performed. In the application process of the study, in the experimental period, drop test with bullets of different weights has been applied. The B-spline curve-generating technique has been used in the study. This is an efficient method for geometrical modelling of the deformation diffusion areas formed after the drop test. Proper control points have been chosen to be able to draw the border… Show more

“…Kuşak Samancı and et al (2015), for the first time, computed the Serret-Frenet and Bishop frame of the initial and ending points of the Bezier curves in the Euclidean 3-space [10]. After that, Kuşak Samancı (2016) analyzed the Bezier and B-spline curves along with the properties of the textile fibers [11,12]. The Bezier curves were analyzed in the Minkowski space for the , ab   be a regular planar curve.…”

“…In addition, Kus ¸ak Samancı (2016) analyzed some differential geometric properties in some knitted fabrics by utilizing the Bezier curves. Again, Kus ¸ak Samancı et al (2017) computed the deformation areas which were left by bullet marks in ballistic fabrics with the help of the B-spline curve approach. Georgiev (2008) analyzed the Bezier curves in 3-D Minkowski space for the first time.…”
