Modelling flash flood hazard to a railway line: A GIS approach

Abstract: A study was undertaken to identify and prioritise the water bodies which are likely to affect the railway line during flash floods. A part of Warangal district, Andhra Pradesh, India, was chosen as the test site.An integrated approach using remote sensing techniques and Geographic Information Systems was adopted.
