Abstract:Human action formation primarily concerns automatic brain processes that are responsive to a salient stimulus. Nevertheless, the importance of studying the control of these actions to obtain more flexible and selfregulated behaviours under the intervention of top-down related processes has been noted. In this paper a top-down guided action formation based on automatic pathways with the cognitive states intention, attention, and awareness has been modelled. By simulations the validity of the model has been expl… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
