Salinity gradient energy (SGE) plants generate power from the mixing of salt water and fresh water using advanced membrane systems. In the Strymon River, under low-flow conditions, a salt wedge is formed, developing a two-layer stratified system, which could be used to extract SGE. In this paper, a novel study was implemented by coupling a 3D hydrodynamic model simulating the salt wedge flow, with the SGE model which assesses the net energy produced by a 1 MW SGE plant. Two scenarios were followed: (a) the optimal scenario, operating throughout the year by mixing salt water from the sea (38.1 g/L) and fresh water (0.1 g/L) from the river to produce 4.15 GWh/yr, and (b) the seasonal scenario, utilizing the salinity difference of the salt wedge. Results show that the daily net SGE production varies between 0.30 and 10.90 MWh/day, in accordance with the salinity difference (ΔSsw ~15–30 g/L). Additionally, a retrospective assessment (from 1981 to 2010) of the annual and seasonal net energy production was conducted. This analysis illustrates that the salt-wedge formation (spring to late summer) coincides with the period of increased regional electricity demand. In the future, the emerging SGE could serve as a decentralized renewable energy source, enhancing energy security in the region.

Subjek penelitian ini menyangkut kerangka peraturan dan legitimasi dalam manajemen rantai pasokan dan saluran distribusi di sektor pertanian di Indonesia. Survei kuesioner dilakukan dengan dimensi dan kriteria regulasi yang memungkinkan peneliti memperoleh informasi tentang kerangka regulasi dan legitimasi dalam rantai pasok perusahaan sektor pertanian di Indonesia. Model teoritis SCM berkelanjutan dirancang untuk melakukan studi empiris ini. Data yang terkumpul diperiksa melalui pendekatan analisis isi. Temuan ini mengungkapkan tidak adanya kerangka peraturan dan validitas dan penulisan dalam organisasi sampel. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat membantu manajer rantai pasokan dan pemangku kepentingan di berbagai sektor industri di Indonesia untuk merancang kerangka peraturan dan hukum untuk manajemen rantai pasokan dan jaringan distribusi yang akan membantu bisnis Indonesia beroperasi dengan lancar.

Thorough understanding of the behaviour of core-shell microparticles with a liquid core is essential for determining their performance in applications under different operation conditions. This paper reports the behaviour of core-shell particles with a liquid core under thermal and mechanical loads. First, we formulated an analytical model for the heating process of a core-shell microparticle with a liquid core. Next, we utilised an axisymmetric model of an elastic spherical shell upon compression to describe the deformation of a core-shell microparticle. Finally, we conducted experiments to validate these models. Both thermal and mechanical models agree well with the experimental data. The maximum temperature a core-shell microparticle can withstand depends on the liquid, the geometry, and the material of the shell. The critical compression force before rupture of a core-shell microparticle depends on the Poisson’s ratio of the shell material and the shell thickness relative to the outer shell radius. The rupture force and rupture temperature increase with increasing shell thickness.
