Modeling the Price of Electric Vehicles as an Element of Promotion of Environmental Safety and Climate Neutrality: Evidence from Poland

Abstract: One of the main threats to ecological safety is the increased emissions of greenhouse gases. Promoting the purchase of electric vehicles and increasing their share among all cars in a given country can be considered as activities reducing the emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere. Based on Environmental Performance Index, in 2021, Poland is in 37th place among the most climate-friendly countries in the world, and 30th among similar countries in Europe. The aim of the article was to model the prices of electric … Show more

“…In addition, their primary purpose, which is the possibility of temporary vehicle stopping and their technical conditions and accompanying infrastructure, offers travelers many options, which include the protection of property, the possibility of resting in a dedicated place or the purchase of goods and services (including those necessary to continue the journey). A continuous growth trend in the share of road transport in the total freight work is observed worldwide [1,2]. On the other hand, this trend may change due to modern solutions for land transport, focusing, for example, on the more environmentally friendly railway.…”

“…Grzelak et al [84] argued that the relevant aspects of measures taken to reduce TSrelated CO 2 emissions were also those aiming at the promotion of the purchase and use of private electric vehicles (to replace the currently used ICEVs). These include systems of subsidies for the purchase of vehicles or the application of various kinds of preferences in using the city car parks, or access to special, designated traffic lanes.…”
