Modeling the performance characteristics of Pr3+: ZBLAN fiber laser at 638 nm

Abstract: In order to reach the efficient performance of Pr 3? doped fiber lasers, we present a numerical model for continuous wave operation of a Pr 3? : ZBLAN, and study the influence of the fiber length and Pr 3? concentration on the pump power, optimum reflectivity of FBG 2, optimum fiber length, threshold and slope efficiency at 638 nm.
