Abstract:The “green tide” occurred frequently, however, their biotoxicity information is relatively scarce. In this study, we used luminescent bacteria test based on Vibrio fischeri (NRRL b-11177) to detect the biotoxicity of Enteromorpha prolifera in decomposition process. We added different biomasses of Enteromorpha prolifera to the same volume of seawater to simulate decomposition process. The biotoxicity was detected regularly. The comparative analysis showed that luminescent bacteria had high sensitivity to the bi… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
