“…The recorded population growth combined with the rapid changes and advances in technologies has facilitated the increase of the waste generated worldwide [37,[46][47][48][49], among which, e-waste plays an important role due to the harmful effects on both environment and health. A broad range of research has been written in the area of e-waste recycling, addressing the issue from different point of views.…”

“…With the development of social media, a series of studies have presented the role of consumers' influence on these networks [60][61][62][63][64][65], proving that the social influence positively affects the people's behavior when adopting a pro-environment attitude [49,66]. Sujata et al [20] analyzed in their study the determinants of recycling intention behavior for the general public.…”

“…The greedy method along with the random boarding method and the three methods introduced in [2] are programmed in NetLogo (Developed at The Cenrer for Connected Learning and Computer Based Modeling Evanston, IL 60208, United States of America), which benefits from all the advantages of the agent-based modeling [39][40][41][42][43][44][45][46][47] and respects the main properties of the agents as they are presented in the literature related to autonomy, social ability, responsiveness, proactiveness, adaptability, mobility, veracity, and rationality [15,[48][49][50]. To make the agent a realistic 38.6% in the random seat assignment case when compared to the random boarding method and up to 39.09% with preferential seat assignments.…”

“…In order to simulate the methods introduced in Table 2 for a partially occupied airplane, an agent-based model in NetLogo was developed (please see Figure 8). The agent-based modeling is one of the well-known choices for researchers when conducting experiments that involve human activities [38][39][40][41][42][43][44][45][46]. The agents used in this type of modeling possess a series of characteristics, such as autonomy, social ability, responsiveness, proactiveness, adaptability, mobility, veracity, and rationality [10,[47][48][49], which makes them a close replicate of humans.…”
