Modeling Septoplasty and Sensory Deprivation in Rat Olfactory Analyzer and Its Impact on the Responses of the Autonomic Nervous System

Abstract: Experimental septoplasty and sensory deprivation in rat olfactory analyzer was conducted to study changes in the frequency domain of heart rate variability. Bulbectomy provokes more pronounced changes in heart rate variability in rats, compared with septoplasty simulation. After bulbectomy, there is an increase in the high frequencies, low frequencies, very low frequencies, and the LF/HF ratio.
