Modeling parameters of the flood control facilities adapted to climate change

Abstract: The article analyzes the results of modeling the regulation of flood flow in a river basin by the flood control facility on a side tributary of the river under conditions of climatic changes. The use of geographic information system for assessing the impact of the flood control facilities on the environment when justifying their parameters is considered. The need to create anti-flood hydro systems on side tributaries exists because the water capacity of existing and projected hydro systems may not be enough to… Show more

“…The greatest danger among contaminants is represented by heavy metals, which have a very long decay period [23-27, 39, 42-45]. Small towns located near megacities, near which agriculture is carried out, are very susceptible to such pollution [23,29,36,[46][47][48]. To solve these problems, these processes require constant study.…”

“…Rivers and reservoirs located in urban areas and suburbs of megacities are exposed to the strongest impact [1,4,20,[26][27][28][29][30][31]. Intensive agricultural activity near megacities creates additional environmental problems [32][33][34][35][36][37]. During the flood period, chemical fertilizers enter the water and are washed off the fields into small rivers and lakes.…”

“…To serve large volumes of industry, the needs of the city and agricultural enterprises, more and more energy is required [1,5,6,[8][9][10][11][12][13][14]. This leads to an increase in its production at various stations [12,[15][16][17][18]. The number of emissions into the environment is increasing, which are often not controlled [9,12,13,[19][20][21][22][23][24].…”

“…The number of emissions into the environment is increasing, which are often not controlled [9,12,13,[19][20][21][22][23][24]. Soil and water bodies are constantly polluted [7,8,12,[15][16][17][18][19][25][26][27][28][29]. With such a large load, the ecological system can hardly cope with the processing of many contaminants [28][29][30][31][32][33][34].…”
