Abstract:This article proposes the use of cosimulation between Matlab/Simulink and Rsoft Optsim to model a radio‐over‐fiber (RoF) link for 802.11g wireless local area network (WLAN) applications. First, a RoF link is modeled based on the experimental results of binary phase shift keying data transmission. Then, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) data in frame format will be created using Matlab/Simulink to be transmitted over the same modeled RoF link. Results show that it is possible to model an 802.11g… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
