“…Based on experimental data, Marion G [2] , showed that turbulence intensity greatly effects droplet collision, but in his numerical model, only two identical droplets collide on collision and a droplet was only disrupted into two identical "children" droplets on breakup. The droplet collision algorithm of O'Rourke [3] is currently the widely used approach for calculating collisions in Lagrangian spray simulations, unfortunately this model is heavily grid-dependent, time-consuming and unreliably accurate [4] . Based on O'Rourke's model, Bird [5] presented the TC model, but it was found that the model is susceptible to initial droplet size distribution.…”
