Abstract:Previous research developed an asymptotic performance limit (APL) of a multistage parallel interference cancellation (PIC) scheme. However, the derivation was very complex. This study derives a closed form of the APL of a multistage PIC, in which z transformation is used in a new, simple technique to compute the APL. We also derive a closed-form expression of maximum user capacity. The results of the analysis show that this new technique could be used to derive the APL.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
