Modeling and Simulation of Desiccant Operated Humidity Pump (DOHP)

Abstract: In the present work, novel configuration of rotating desiccant wheel using calcium chloride as the working desiccant is presented. The proposed system is called desiccant operated humidity pump (DOHP). Mathematical model, which can be applied for analysis of the proposed system, is developed. The proposed system can be powered by low grade heat sources such as solar energy. Absorption-regeneration cycle for the DOHP is described and analyzed.
