Model to Measure the Readiness of University Testing Laboratories to Fulfill ISO/IEC 17025 Requirements (A Case Study)

Abstract: Universities are considered as a source of open innovations by producing new technology. The innovations need to be tested in licensed laboratories in order to create certified products if they are to be commercialized to the market. Many universities have established laboratories that provide testing services to society and act as a revenue-generating source. “…Article [13] looks at the reliability of the results of testing and the technical competence of the chemical laboratory on the part of the management and audits but does not consider the competence of the personnel. Works [14,15] make it possible to check the laboratory readiness to meet the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements. The descriptive statistics in them are used for the development of radar diagrams and empirical methods of studies; however, however, the resulting improvement planning did not contain a statistical description of the impact of staff competence.…”

“…According to [13], organizational strategists are considered critical in determining the success or failure of organizations. Recent research using the DEA method discusses Fuzzy DEA in the Tehran Stock Market [14] and Fuzzy Stochastic in the Presence of Undesirable Outputs [15]. In addition, there is also a MOLP and DEA study based on the output-oriented CCR dual model [16] and also a DEA cross-efficiency evaluation in a study [17].…”

“…Several studies have produced models to measure the level of technology-adoption readiness according to the needs of each research and case study. Some studies have considered THIO's four technology components [56][57][58][59][60], and some have only considered some of the technology components [61][62][63][64][65][66][67]. Meanwhile, the literature on implementing standards and their economic benefits are also growing [51,52].…”
