Model of the Vibration Signal of the Vibrating Sieving Screen Suspension for Condition Monitoring Purposes

Abstract: Diagnostics of industrial machinery is a topic related to the need for damage detection, but it also allows to understand the process itself. Proper knowledge about the operational process of the machine, as well as identification of the underlying components, is critical for its diagnostics. In this paper, we present a model of the signal, which describes vibrations of the sieving screen. This particular type is used in the mining industry for the classification of ore pieces in the material stream by size. T… Show more

“…This method allows to detect and extract cyclic-impulsive signal (damage in bearing) in the presence of high amplitude noncyclic impulsive signal. Several other researchers have addressed the issue in this sense [19][20][21].…”

“…Other interesting applications include: physics [18][19][20][21][22], and biology [23][24][25][26][27]. The segmentation problems appear also in condition monitoring [28][29][30][31][32].…”

“…Interesting approaches used for the problem related to the changing of the location parameter (like mean) can be found in [33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40] while the methods for changing the scale parameter (like variance) are presented, for instance, in [33,[41][42][43][44][45][46][47][48]. A specific case is related to heavy-tailed processes [28][29][30][31] where we expect the impulsive behavior of the corresponding data. In that case, the simple statistics are useless.…”

“…Many researchers deal with the problem of the steady-state operation of screens and numerical simulation DEM to simulate the material's behaviour on the screening board [21][22][23][24][25]. Some researchers have also attempted to develop a vibration measurement model that considers material disturbances [26,27]. Classic drive systems, due to flexible couplings, are characterized by a high value of vibration damping of the riddle, which significantly reduces the amplitude of vibrations during the transition through resonance.…”
