“…In the case with unipolar depression that we reported here, the patient was using duloxetine 30 mg/day and modafinil 100 mg/day. Both drugs were reported to be associated with mania 25,30 but no previous data were reported on the effects of their combination on mood switching. However, duloxetine and modafinil were prescribed in their lowest effective doses in this case, which significantly decrease the possibility of a manic switch and of a considerable pharmacokinetic interaction even though they cannot be neglected completely.…”
