Mock samples resolve biases in diversity estimates and quantitative interpretation of zooplankton metabarcoding data

Abstract: Metabarcoding is a rapidly developing tool in marine zooplankton ecology, although most zooplankton surveys continue to rely on visual identification for monitoring purposes.
