“…This approach has been used to develop immunosensors made solely of paper that detect pathogens and biomarkers with ultrafast immunoreaction steps of only 5 min. [89][90][91] It has also been used to deliver nanoparticles to other materials with entrapped analytes. For example, pressing the reservoirs against surgical face masks worn by COVID-19 patients enabled the detection of viral antigens trapped in the polypropylene layer.…”

“…A mobile origami sensor was developed by Adrover-Jaume et al [102] capable of detecting UTIs caused by Escherichia coli in less than 7 min. A single piece of paper containing antibody-decorated Au NPs was made from an origami nanosensor.…”

“…Likewise, gold nanoclusters have also been employed in the detection of pathogenic bacteria via plasmon enhanced fluorescence . In another study, antibody linked Au NPs have been applied for the designing of an origami platform for the facile detection of a bacterial infection . Apart from nanoparticle based detection, various nanostructured SERS substrates have also been studied for the diagnosis of UTIs targeting both bacterial ,− and genomic , detection pathways.…”

However, a very minimal focus has been made toward pathogen detection targeting UTIs based on optoplasmonic metal nanotwins.…”
