Abstract: Background and Aims Primary aldosteronism is a rare cause of high blood pressure (BP). Guidelines recommend a screening in several situations, such as hypertension with hypokalemia, sleeping apnea or adrenal mass, by determining the baseline aldosterone/renin ratio.
