O17+Ni58scattering and reaction dynamics around the Coulomb barrier

Abstract: 1) Poor statistics, since RIB intensities are still several orders of magnitude lower than their stable counterparts.(2) The need to identify all reaction products, which may differ by only a few mass units and, in the case of neutrons, the need for high efficiency detection systems with sufficient angular resolution. (3) The cross sections for key processes may be very small, requiring rather long acquisition times, or show complicated kinematics, which might require coincidence measurements of reaction produ… Show more

“…The angular distributions for the elastic scattering process were extracted by the self-normalization formula in [2] and analyzed in the Optical Model framework employing Woods-Saxon potentials for both real and imaginary part. The geometrical parameters for the real part approximately converged to the standard values, in fact little differences can be noticed, i.e.…”
