(d, t) Reaction on the Titanium Isotopes

Abstract: The (d,t) reaction on the five stable isotopes of titanium has been studied at a deuteron energy of 21.4 MeV. The three even isotopes show two strong groups separated by about 2 MeV, both groups corresponding to pickup of a I/7/2 neutron. This indicates that there is considerable seniority mixing in the titanium isotopes. Groups corresponding to the pickup of 2p neutrons were observed in both Ti 50 and Ti 48 .
