Abstract: Data on the multiplicity and inclusive spectra of y produced in inelastic p ON^ and pN interactions at 300 GeV are presented. The y multiplicity for p ' ONe interactions is 11.43k0.23, and the ratio of ( n , ) for p ''Ne and pN interactions is 1.48f 0.05. From an analysis of the effective-mass distributions, ( n g ) =4.91 to. 52 and ( n ) = 1.47FO. 33.
