U-boson production ine+eannihilations,ψand

Abstract: We recall how a new light gauge boson emerged in Supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model with an extra singlet chiral superfield, and how it could often behave very much as a light pseudoscalar, with the corresponding symmetry broken at a scale higher than electroweak. The possible existence of such a new gauge boson U , light and very weakly coupled, allows for Light Dark Matter particles, which could be at the origin of the 511 keV line from the galactic bulge. Could such a light gauge boson be found … Show more

“…If a boson is allowed to travel in large extra-dimensions, with a strong coupling constant in the bulk, it behaves in our 4D world as a very weakly coupled new boson, the coupling being diluted in the extra-dimensions. The light dark matter hypothesis also argues in favour of the existence of new short range interactions [10].…”

“…Therefore, if the new gauge interaction is the flavor universal one such as the B − L gauge interaction, the gauge coupling has to be small and hence the new gauge boson has to be very light as well in order to induce enough contributions to the muon g-2. An explicit model of this category is the hidden photon model [21][22][23], and constraints on the hidden photon model have been studied in detail [24,25].…”
