Mixture of biomass to energy reuse

Abstract: Focusing on the reuse of the energy and aiming at the thermal and kinetic characterization of sewage sludge and its mixture, with pruning residues (50 mass%), the thermogravimetry was used. The kinetic study was elaborated from the local isoconversional integral method in heating rates 10.0, 20.0 and 30.0°C min-1 at a temperature ranging from 219 to 386°C at nitrogen atmosphere, in a flow of 100 mL min-1. The average activation energy of sewage sludge sample revealed the value of 219 kJ mol-1 and that of the m… Show more

“…It is very possible to perform any kind of thermal conversion process in combination with different feedstocks while considering the thermal and kinetic characterization for the target end product; this can be performed by knowing the physical and chemical properties of the material, thus allowing for the right selection, based on the characteristic properties of the individual types. Furthermore, Braz and Ribeiro [108] investigated a mixture of sewage sludge with pruning residues in a proportion of (50 mass%); they compared the results with the sewage sludge without a mixture to determine the thermal and kinetic characterization of the samples. The result shows that the average activation energy value of the sewage sludge Furthermore, Braz and Ribeiro [108] investigated a mixture of sewage sludge with pruning residues in a proportion of (50 mass%); they compared the results with the sewage sludge without a mixture to determine the thermal and kinetic characterization of the samples.…”

“…There was a study about advantages and disadvantages of various biomasses comparing with coal [47]. The study of biomass-biomass mixture was found only in the study of Nozela et al [48]. Their study indicated that the mixture of sewage sludge and pruning residues by 1:1 could reduce the activation energy and gave higher heating value than the pure ones.…”

“…Sendo que a aplicabilidade está condicionada à composição química, propriedade físicas e potencial poluidor do material residual. Pode-se dizer que trata-se de uma forma de reciclagem já que envolve submeter os resíduos a um processo de transformação química que levará à geração de algum produto de valor mercadológico como no caso da produção de energia (Borowski et al, 2002;Nozela et al, 2018).…”
