Mitigation Potential of Nitrous Oxide Emissions from Irrigated Rice Fields by the DNDC-Rice Model

Abstract: The DNDC-Rice model was used to obtain mitigation potential of N 2 O emission from flooded rice fields under various water management regimes in central Thailand. The alternative water management (midseason drainage, multiple drainage, and local method) emitted approximately 61% of N 2 O emissions higher than conventional water management (continuously flooded).
