MiR-425-5p/RAB2B Promotes the Proliferation, Invasion and Migration of Glioma Cells

Abstract: Aim/Background: Glioma is a malignant brain tumor with the characteristics of rapid growth, diffuse invasion and therapeutic resistance. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) recently have be studied for the treatment of glioma. Here, we conducted cell-based experiments to analyze the role of miR-425-5p by targeting RAB2B in glioma though regulating the proliferation, invasion and migration of glioma cells. Methods: The qRT-PCR analysis detected the expression level of miR-425-5p in glioma cells. The transfection efficiency was… Show more

“…In conclusion, the study elaborated the role of miR-425/RAR2B regulatory axis in cervical cancer and the results suggest miR-425 to be a viable therapeutic target against the human cervical cancer as has been elucidated in human glioma. 34 The main limitation of the study is that only one molecular target of miR-425 was studies in the present study. Another limitation of the present study is the small sample size, similar studies with large sample size need to be carried out.…”
