MiR-25 protects PC-12 cells from H2O2mediated oxidative damage via WNT/β-catenin pathway

Abstract: miR-25 protects PC-12 cells against HO-induced oxidative damage though regulation of Nrf2 and activation of Wnt/β-catenin and PI3 K/AKT/ERK signaling.

“…SCI is a severe neurological disease, and mounting researches have used PC12 cells as important adjuncts and surrogates for studies of SCI in humans [20,21]. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the protective effects of CAP against LPS-induced injuries in PC12 cells and explored its underlying molecular mechanisms.…”

“…Currently, drug and surgical treatments are the main therapeutic strategies for SCI [5], nevertheless, the side effects of these treatments are inevitable. In various researches, local oxidative damage has been reported to occur after SCI [6,7]. It has been discovered that accelerations of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and oxidative stress are deemed to the paramount events in SCI [8].…”

“…in balloon-injured carotid artery rats [29]. MiR-25 is an obbligato miRNA, which has been corroborated to protect PC-12 cells against H 2 O 2 -evoked oxidative damage through Wnt/ b-catenin pathway [30]. Moreover, miR-25 could repress cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury-evoked cell apoptosis via mediating Fas/FasL pathway [31].…”
