Minimally-Invasive Mitral Valve Repair for Isolated Anterior Leaflet Cleft in a 66 Year Old Woman

Abstract: Mitral valve regurgitation caused by an isolated cleft of the anterior leaflet of the mitral valve is a rare condition, usually corrected early in life. We report the case of a 66 year old patient with an isolated cleft, which was successfully corrected through a minimally-invasive approach, demonstrating good visibility and direct closure of the cleft.
